Mechanical Design from Concept to Production Drawing

Good mechanical design is not just CAD proficiency, it is knowing what the part has to do, what it has to survive, how it will be made, and how it will fit with everything around it. Elemeca's mechanical design work integrates requirements, analysis, materials selection, and DfM from the outset, so what comes out the other end is not just a 3D model but an engineering solution.

We design in metallics, composites, and polymers across a range of manufacturing processes. Our engineers have held design authority on components that went through full build, test, and operation; including aerospace structures, engines, Formula 1 chassis, and prototype hardware developed and proven in rapid development programmes in major corporations.

CAD Tools and Approach

We work in parametric solid modelling and produce fully constrained, model-driven design packages. Geometry is built to be manufacturable and inspectable, not just visually coherent. Assemblies are structured with proper constraints, correct mate conditions, and clear part hierarchy. Where clients have existing CAD environments or preferred tools, we work within those constraints.

Prototyping

Where fast iteration is needed, we prototype in-house. We have CNC milling, turning, and 3D printing capability that lets us go from CAD to physical part without waiting for an external machine shop queue. For composites and more complex production parts, we coordinate with trusted external suppliers.
